Eminent alumni

Mining University has trained a lot of specialists. One of them is the first president of Mongolia, Punsalmaagiin Ochirbat.For Mr. Ochirbat himself, the Mining University is part of a personal biography.

He graduated from the first technical university in Russia in 1965 (Faculty of Mining, specialty “Development of mineral deposits”). In addition, in 1999, the First President of Mongolia opened a nominal audience in Gorny and defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences.
