St. Petersburg Vacation (the Russian language and culture)
The program of the international summer school “Vacations in St. Petersburg (Russian language and culture)” was developed by the teaching staff of the department of the Russian language and literature.
Participants are offered a practical Russian language course on conversational practice, which includes basic speech formulas of communication and etiquette, conversational topics about yourself, your family, study and work, about your hobbies. Students will learn to communicate in shops, restaurants and cafes, navigate in a city, also they will learn about Russia and work with map.
Students will be able to master the skills and abilities to correctly make the most frequent texts of oral and written speech.
In addition to practical classes, participants will have excursions to the most interesting places in the city. They will be able to see the sights of the northern capital, visit world-famous museums (the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, the Kunstkamera, etc.), take part in excursions along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg, Vasilyevsky Island, Palace Square, Nevsky Prospect, the Summer Garden and the Mars Field, Peter and Paul Fortress, to visit theaters and various museums of the city, which will enhance their communication skills, as well as create a positive image of St. Petersburg and Russia as a whole.
High school students, students and all interested in Russian culture, wishing to learn to communicate in Russian are invited to participate.
