The Russian language at the Mining University (intermediate level)

The program of the international summer school “Russian language at the Mining University (intermediate level)” was developed by the teaching staff of the department of the Russian language and literature.

Participants are offered a course of practical classes in the Russian language, devoted to various aspects of speech practice, aimed at improving communication skills and abilities of writing and speaking in Russian. Students will be able to master the techniques of oral and written speech communication. The program provides for learning to create a scientific report in writing and oral public speaking.

Conversational topics will be devoted to the cultural characteristics of Russia, the traditions of the Russian people, the professional activities.

In addition to practical classes, participants will have excursions to the most interesting places in the city. They will see the sights of the northern capital, visit world-famous museums (the Hermitage, the Russian Museum. Kunstkamera, etc.), famous St. Petersburg churches, and take part in excursions along the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg, Nevsky Prospect, the Summer Garden and the Mars Field, Peter and Paul Fortress. They will be able to visit the theaters and various museums of the city, which will help to increase their communication skills, as well as create a positive image of St. Petersburg and Russia as a whole.

Students, graduate students and young scientists in various specialties and all interested in Russian culture, wishing to learn to communicate in Russian are invited to participate.
