kilos is the weight of the largest in the world piece of malachite, which is exhibited at the Mining Museum. Malachite was found at the Gumeshevsky mine near the Polevsk plant in the Urals. The owner of the mine, Mr. Turchaninov, gave the malachite to Catherine II, and she donated it to the Mining School in 1787. There is no other such wonderful sample in any country in the world! Many foreigners visit the museum, only to be photographed against the background of this miracle.
