Overview

In the process of training in this speciality, students acquire understanding of the types of hydrogeological structures, formation conditions and methods for assessing groundwater resources; conditions for the formation and change in groundwater composition; regularities of the formation of the composition, structure and properties of natural and man-made, dispersed, rocky and frozen soils; natural and technogenic geological processes and their monitoring; regional engineering and geological patterns; risk assessment of hazardous geological processes; features of cryogenic processes. An integral part of the educational program is field training, which takes place in the Leningrad region and the Republic of Crimea, as well as practical training at enterprises of geological, hydrogeological and engineering-geological fields.
