The field of professional activity of graduates who have mastered this educational program includes engineering support for the development of hydrocarbon deposits through the use of high innovative technology, methodology and methods for the design and construction, the introduction of modern automation systems, control and safety of technological processes and production of fuel energy facilities, including exploration and development of fields with hard-to-recover reserves, field gathering and preparation of hydrocarbons. In the process of training, students get acquainted with the techniques and technologies of construction, repair, restoration and reconstruction of oil and gas wells on land and at sea; equipment and technologies for the development and operation of oil, gas and gas condensate fields; technical devices, apparatus and means for extracting and preparing well products; equipment and technologies for oil and gas production, collection and preparation of borehole products on land and at sea, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of gas and oil field facilities; development of design documentation, manufacturing, assembly, running-in, as well as operation and repair of oil and gas equipment.

Ability to carry out maintenance of technological equipment used in the extraction of oil and gas, gas condensate, collection and preparation of well products; to take measures for the reconstruction and technical re-equipment of gas and oil field facilities;
Ability to develop, coordinate and approve regulatory documents governing the execution of hazardous works, as well as regulatory documents for particularly dangerous and technically complex types of work;
Ability to carry out technological processes of oil and gas production, gas condensate, collection and preparation of well products;
Ability to carry out field monitoring and regulation of hydrocarbon recovery.
